Rava Laddu is a traditional Indian sweet prepared with ghee, sugar, and semolina, or rava.
Ingredients Needed
- 1 cup of Rava (semolina)
- Half a cup of Sugar
- ¼ cup of ghee
- ¼ cup of grated coconut
- ½ teaspoon Cardamom powder
- 8 to 10 Chopped Cashews
- 2 to 3 tablespoons of warm milk
Procedure To Make Rava Laddu
Step 1: Roast the Rava
- Start by heating a pan over low heat
- For 5 to 7 minutes, dry roast one cup of rava
- To avoid burning, keep mixing
- Turn off the stove when the rava has a pleasant aroma
- After roasting, move the rava to a plate and let it cool down.
Step 2: Blend the sugar and Rava.
- Transfer the rava to a blender after it has cool
- Blend it to a very fine powder
- Add the grinder with ½ cup sugar and ½ tsp cardamom powder
- Grind all together until the rava and sugar are mixed well
Step 3: Fry the coconut and cashews
- In a pan, heat ¼ cup of ghee
- Fry the chopped cashews until they turn golden brown
- Add ¼ cup grated coconut and cook for one minute.
- Turn off the stove now.
Step 4: Mix All Things Together
- Add the ground rava-sugar mixture to the pan with cashews and coconut.
- Mix everything well so that the ghee spreads evenly
Step 5: Shape the laddu
- Slowly add 2 to 3 tablespoons of heated milk
- For the mixture to form laddus, it must be sufficiently moist.
- While the mixture is still warm, take small portions and roll them into round laddus.
Step 6: Let the Laddu set
- After placing the laddus on a plate, allow them to cool for half an hour.
- Put them in an airtight container after they’ve set
- At room temperature, they can last up to five days.
